About me

I have learned that physical fitness is not only a key component in keeping our body strong, but it is an essential part of keeping our self strong.

With every class I teach, or in every training session, I aim to empower students to build a healthy relationship with their body because I know this relationship will serve them long after my class or training session is over.

Physical movement has always been an important part of my life; I grew up hiking and skiing in the Canadian Rockies, I was first introduced to Yoga and Pilates over 20 years ago, and in the past 10 years I have included long distance running, swimming, ice hockey, and weight training in my personal fitness practice. I have always been fascinated with kinesiology and biomechanics, and curious about how physical imbalances effect one's kinetic chain. So, I love that my job allows me to combine my personal interest with my knowledge and training, and I can support, strengthen, and heal students' physical bodies through movement.
